Couples
Whether you are married, engaged, or in a serous relationship, the Center offers couples counseling for you. Most long-term relationships need help from time to time. Seeking it is easy. If you and your partner are committed to working on it, there is always hope.
Marital Therapy
Married couples, especially when children are involved, face unique challenges and can reap special rewards. Whether you have been married 4 months or 40 years, a "tune up" is almost never a bad idea and, often, it's the difference between a heated discussion and a hard-fought divorce. The stresses associated with raising a family, launching children into the world, and growing older together force married couples through a series of life transitions. During this process, the way they see themselves and each other changes. Marital therapy can help to address the questions and dissatisfactions inherent in such life events.
Couples Counseling
Anyone who has dated knows that maintaining a relationship past the infatuation stage is difficult. When you know each other so well that there's not much mystery left between you, romantic feelings don't always pull you through the hard times. At this stage in your life together, things like friendship, communication, respect, mutuality and interdependence take center stage as the glue that hold together long-term love affairs. You don't have to be married to benefit from couples counseling. In fact, counseling is often a good way to assess whether your relationship is ready to take the next step.
